Several philanthropic activities have been lined up for the 87th birth anniversary celebration of Srimad Brahmanand Shastri, the former head priest of Beldih Kalibari, who also founded the Brahmananda Narayana Multispeciality Hospital ( BNMH) in Tamolia, on October 25.The hospital will conduct 10 free angiography while Purnima Netralaya, a eye-hospital also located in the same campus of BNMH at Tamolia will conduct 21 free phaco surgeries.
Addressing a press conference at the hospital in Tamolia, Dr Pervez Alam, a leading heart surgeon of BNMH and Monu Bhattacharjee, managing trustee of Brahmananda Sewa Sadan said that the patients who would undergo angiography and phaco surgery operations have been selected.“We want to celebrate the anniversary in a unique way. This is the reason we decided to conduct free operations. We are carrying out free surgeries for a social cause on the occasion of the birth anniversary celebration of the spiritual leader. The patients would be benefitted ,” said Bhattacharjee.
