Jamshedpur: 1st October-2016 :
City police on Friday handed over 40 bikes along with GPS enabled mobile sets and wireless sets (walkie-talkie) which would be used by around 160 jawans for special patrolling during puja. Each of the bike is having a particular serial number for easy identification in police control room.The bike-borne jawans will also be equipped with a revolver and a carbine (self loading rifle) and will have their assigned patrol number written in large letters on the front portion of their bike.
