Jamshedpur To Get Sport Climbing Academy

Jamshedpur 29th July 2021: Jamshedpur is all set to pay tribute to legendary industrialist and philanthropist Bharat Ratna JRD Tata on his 117th birth anniversary on 29th July.

A series of events have been designed to mark the occasion.

First, a virtual walkathon will be organized for all the employees of Tata Steel.

This was followed by a tree plantation drive by Sanjeev K Choudhary, President Tata Workers Union, and Chanakya Choudhary Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, at an identified site near Subarnarekha Flats.

Digital homage will be paid by all employees of Tata Steel over an intranet.

A virtual session reminiscent of JRD will be organized by Dr. JJ Irani for all the employees.

Window on the world virtual session with Padma Shri Sudha Murthy, President, Infosys Foundation, in conversation with Kaushik Chatterjee, ED, and CFO, Tata Steel for all employees later in the day.

The virtual event titled “Giving Wings to Your Dreams” by the Department of Aviation for school students of class VI and VIII.

35 schools in Jamshedpur and Raw Material locations, Odisha, and some schools in Tata Steel Kalinganagar will be part of the session.

The JRD Tata Mural will be unveiled, and the Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) Sport Climbing Academy will be inaugurated on Thursday by Chanakya Choudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.
