Jamshedpur 9th July 2021: Smartphones increase the risk of cancer.
If you use a mobile phone for 17 minutes every day for 10 years, then the risk of developing a lump of cancer increases by 60%.
This claim has been made after analyzing 46 types of research related to mobile phones and human health.
Researchers from the University of California, who conducted the research, said that the radiation emitted from mobile signals increases stress proteins in the body that damage DNA.
However, the US Food and Drug Administration denies that the radio frequencies emitted from mobile phones pose a health risk.
Researchers from the University of California have made this claim based on research done in America, Sweden, Britain, Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand.
Research says mobile phone users are increasing worldwide. As of 2011, 87% of households had a mobile phone. In 2020, this figure increased to 95%.
Researcher Joel Moskowitz says people should reduce the use of mobile phones.
Keep it away from your body and use landlines as much as possible.
The connection between the overuse of phones and cancer is disputed, a sensitive political topic.
According to Moskowitz, wireless devices make radiation energy more active. When this happens, there is an obstacle in the way of working cells. As a result, stress proteins and free radicals are produced in the body. It can also damage DNA. There can be deadly too.
