Jamshedpur 14th July 2021: The new Governor of Jharkhand, Ramesh Bais, will take oath as the Governor of Jharkhand on July 14.
On July 14, at 13:20 hrs, the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, Dr. Ravi Ranjan, will administer the oath to him in the Raj Bhavan Premises.
Ramesh Bais arrived at Ranchi’s Birsa Munda airport late Tuesday afternoon and was accorded a guard of honor at the airport and welcomed by chief minister Hemant Soren and a host of state cabinet ministers, including rural development minister Alamgir Alam, finance minister Rameshwar Oraon, state transport minister Champai Soren, health minister Banna Gupta among others.
Senior bureaucrats, including Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh and DGP Neeraj Sinha, were also present.
Ramesh Bais, originally from Raipur in Chhattisgarh, was the governor of Tripura.
He will be the 10th Governor of Jharkhand and takes the place of Draupadi Murmu.
However, Ramesh Bais will succeed Draupadi Murmu as the new governor of Jharkhand after a formal notification was issued from the office of the President of India on Tuesday.
