Jamshedpur 10th Sept 2021: Kerala Public Schools organized a blood donation camp on Wednesday to pay tribute to school President APR Nair on his fifth death anniversary.
A total of 247 units of blood were collected in the camp organized at 3 strategically located schools Kerala Public School (KPS) Kadma, NML Kerala Public School, and Kerala Public School Mango.
116 units of blood were collected in KPS Mango, followed by KPS Kadma (80 units) and NML KPS (51 units).
The day has been named as a “Celebration Of Life” as a tribute and homage to the great man known as the “Saksharta Man Of Jamshedpur”.
He played an important role in making English medium education affordable to all sections of society.
Earlier, the program started with prayer and bhajan in all the schools followed by blood donation camps in all three branches of KPS.
The camp was started by lighting the lamp by former District Governor Rotarian Vijay Mehta at KPS Kadma.
Founder Principal Shantha Vaidyanathan, Academic Director Lakshmi Sarat, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, Principal Alamelu Ravi Shankar, and all the staff members were present in the program.
