First Death Due To Japanese Encephalitis In Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur 2nd Sept 2021: After Corona, now Japanese Encephalitis (JE) has started spreading panic in East Singhbhum district. The first death from JE occurred in the district on Wednesday.

After this, there was a stir in the department. A team was rushed to the patient’s house and its surrounding areas and instructed to take necessary action.

The deceased is a woman (38) resident of Galudih. He was undergoing treatment at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College Hospital.

Earlier, he was admitted to Tata Motors Hospital.

So far, 34 JE suspected patients have been investigated in the district.

Eight positives have been found during the investigation. At the same time, one has died so far.
