SER Flags Off Oxygen Express To Bangladesh

Jamshedpur 30th August 2021: South Eastern Railway sent the 12th Oxygen Express train from Rourkela in Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway to Benapole in Bangladesh.

The train left Rourkela carrying 196 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in 10 containers. It used to pass through Tatanagar railway station.

The first Oxygen Express train for Bangladesh was dispatched from Tatanagar to Benapole on 24th July for the treatment of Covid affected patients in that country.

Before today’s train, eleven Oxygen Express trains from Tatanagar and Rourkela of Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway have been sent to Bangladesh.

To meet the growing demand for oxygen for the treatment of COVID-affected patients, South Eastern Railway is running Oxygen Express trains from 23rd April to ensure speedy transportation and a smooth supply of oxygen.
