Jamshedpur 29th August 2021: To deal with the third wave of the corona, a 100-bed makeshift (modular) emergency ward is being prepared in MGM Hospital. Equipped with modern facilities, this mini-hospital can be shifted anywhere.
It is being produced by an agency called American-India Foundation. Though, it will be handed over to MGM management in the first week of September.
The agency has expertise in making portable and pre-structured hospitals.
The outer structure of the ward has been prepared in 15 days.
However, 30 technicians and employees of the agency are busy finalizing the ward while beds and other facilities are being restored.
In this fully air-conditioned ward, a reception counter along with other necessary facilities will be available. There will be 40 oxygen beds, 16 ICU beds, and the rest normal beds for the treatment of patients.
