Jamshedpur 27th April 2021: After 26 days in the second wave of Corona, the number of new infected has dropped in Jamshedpur on Monday.
An investigation of 5324 people in the district found 604 positives.
At the same time, a total of 934 people admitted to various Covid hospitals of the city returned home after recovering.
Now, district’s positive cases tally has amounted to more than 30463.
Meanwhile, a total of 14 fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, and the death toll has climbed to 553.
However, the number of active cases is 6749.
With the city under the grip of the second wave of COVID-19 infections since last month, the leading health department has observed that vaccination is a more effective way to beat its pandemic.
On Monday, 1422 people received the first dose while 876 received the second dose. So far, 206373 people have been vaccinated with the first dose and 35250 with the second dose.
So far, a total of 23161 people in the district have returned home after recovering.
