Jamshedpur Records Highest Single-Day Rise Of 718 Cases

Jamshedpur 22nd April 2021: On Wednesday, Jamshedpur reported 718 new cases of the novel coronavirus, and 11 patients have lost their lives.

According to reports, a 109-year-old man from Mango was among the fatalities on Wednesday.

Of the 718 new cases, 677 are from Jamshedpur urban area, 20 are from Ghatsila, 9 from Musabani, 5 each from Chakulia and Dumaria, 1 each from Dhalbhumgarh and Patamda.

The new cases came out of the 8116 tests conducted on Wednesday.
According to the latest health bulletin, the cumulative coronavirus case count stands at 26448, and the death count is now 478.
However, the second wave of the coronavirus has wreaked havoc in Jamshedpur.

At present, there are 5189 active COVID-19 cases in the city.
The positivity rate rose to 3.70%, and the recovery rate has dropped down to 80.77 %, while the mortality rate is 1.81% in Jamshedpur.
