Jamshedpur Reported Highest Single-Day Covid Deaths

Jamshedpur 19th April 2021: For the first time during the second COVID-19 wave in the city, daily deaths reached a record-breaking on Sunday.
Jamshedpur reported 676 fresh cases and 17 deaths for the first time since the commencement of the pandemic on Sunday.
Of the 676 new cases, 647 are from Jamshedpur urban area, 25 from Ghatsila, 2 from Musabani, and one each from Baharagora and Dumaria.
At the same time, 17 of the patients who died in the district, most of them died due to lack of timely treatment.
According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department, the city’s positive cases tally has mounted to 3855, including the new cases.
As per the latest health bulletin, the total coronavirus case count stands at 24399, and the death toll has climbed to 447.
However, there are 3855 active COVID-19 cases in Jamshedpur.
The positivity rate rose to 3.49%, and the recovery rate has dropped down to 84.72 %, while the mortality rate is 1.83% in Jamshedpur.
