Jamshedpur 17th April 2021: Jamshedpur recorded 538 new Covid-19 cases in the highest single-day spike ever since the pandemic began last year.
Of the 538 new cases, 526 are from Jamshedpur urban area, 9 from Chakulia, and one each from Musabani, Dumaria, and Baharagora.
The new cases came out of the 5706 tests conducted on Friday.
According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department on Friday evening, Steel City’s positive cases tally has risen to 2865.
Meantime, a total of 13 people died from the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours, accelerating the death toll to 424.

As per the latest health bulletin, there are 2865 active cases, the collective coronavirus case count stands at 23031, and the death count is now 424.
However, the recovery rate in Jamshedpur has dropped down to 87.77 %, while the mortality rate is 1.84%.
