Jamshedpur 13th April 2021: According to the COVID-19 bulletin shared by the East Singhbhum district health department, Jamshedpur reported 370 COVID-19 cases on Monday, the highest single-day surge in the Steel City to date, while two more people died due to the disease.
Of the 370 new cases, 361 are from Jamshedpur urban area, including 44 each from Mango and Kadma, 41 from Sidhgora, 30 each from Sakchi and Telco, 25 from Bistupur, 26 from Sonari, 10 from Begbera, 8 from Golmuri, 5 from Jugsalai along with 3 from Chakulia, 2 from Ghatsila, and one each from Dalbhumgarh, Musabani, Patamda, and Potka.
The positivity rate rose to 3.20% in the city.
As per the latest health bulletin, there are 1814 active COVID-19 cases in Jamshedpur. The infection tally has gone up to 21199, and a total of 392 fatalities due to the disease have been recorded so far.
The new cases came out of the 9853 tests conducted on Monday.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 249116 tests per million in the district.
The recovery rate in Jamshedpur has dropped down to 91.19%, while the mortality rate is 1.85 %.
