Vaccine Crisis Hits City, Health Department Demands Fresh Stock

Concerned over the situation, the district health department has sent a letter seeking directives from the state health department about taking back the unutilized stocks lying with the private hospitals and nursing homes.

Similarly, at Tata Motors Hospital, 1,940 vials of the vaccine lie unutilized. This is why we have written to the concerned authority to give directives in this regard so that people may not have to return disappointed,” said Lal, district civil surgeon, AK Lal.
The fresh stock of the Covishield vaccine is yet to come from Ranchi. It will take another two days to reach Ranchi and subsequently to the steel city.
