Jamshedpur 1st April 2021: Panic gripped the city as after a gap of two months, 121 COVID cases were reported in a single day on Wednesday, March 31.
It is really very surprising that after the decline for a few months, the cases are again rising with every passing day.
After witnessing a consistent slump in coronavirus cases for a month or so, Jamshedpur is now seeing a fresh surge in daily Covid-19 cases.
The active cases in Jamshedpur have risen to 374 with, 121 new positives reported on Wednesday, March 31. The positive cases have now reached the mark of 18906. So far, 376 deaths have been reported.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 232763 tests per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 96.65% while, the mortality rate is 1.99%.
The health department has also intensified testing. Random tests are being conducted at market places in Sakchi and Bistupur.
East Singhbhum district health authority has made it mandatory to subject every commuter coming from Bengal and Odisha to undergo Covid test at the checking points in the district from Wednesday.
