Jamshedpur 8th July,2020: The COVID-19 cases is touching new heights in Jamshedpur and Jharkhand day by day.The total number of COVID-19 cases has reached 587 in the district. With 58 new cases reported on Tuesday, July 7 the total cases in East Singhbhum district stands at 587. July 7 saw maximum cases being reported in single day in Jamshedpur.
Among these 58 new cases, 15 were Tata Pigments employee and 4 were from a family of Sakchi.
Earlier 43 cases came up on May 30 while July 2 recorded 45 cases in a single day. 141 new positives cases of COVID-19 were reported in Jharkhand on Tuesday, July 7. With 141 new cases, the state corona tally has reached above 3,000.
Based on this, other positives in Jharkhand are 44, Dhanbad 25, Ramgarh 28, Ranchi 20, Koderma 7, Hazaribagh 6, each three from Lohardaga and Devghar, Plamu 2 and each one comes from Gadwa, Latehar and Simdega.
With these new positives in Jharkhand, the COVID-19 tally has risen to 3,018.
Mathura Mahto, the MLA of Tundi have tested positive along with the other residents. Besides, most of the journalist from Dhanbad have also been tested positive for COVID-19.
In Koderma, 5 new positives were reported. Among them three from Mitko Colony and one each from Irgobad in Jaynagar block and Aarohgaro in Chandwara.
6 COVID-19 positives were found from Hazaribagh including a thief. Due to the infected thief, the two police station of Korra and Sadar has been sealed.
