Jamshedpur 6th Jan 2022: Jamshedpur recorded its highest single-day spike in COVID-19 cases in nearly six months, as 658 more people tested positive for the disease on Wednesday, the health department said.
The death toll in East Singhbhum stood at 1065, with no death reported on Wednesday.
Let me tell you, 658 new cases took the total active cases in the city to 1600.
The new infections recorded on January 5 are the highest single-day jump in Steel City during the third wave.
As per the latest health bulletin, the cumulative coronavirus case count is 53905, and the death count is now 1065.
Apart from this, the positive rate in Jamshedpur increased to 3.90%.
However, the recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 96.23%, while the death rate is 1.98%.
