Another Record Leap In Jamshedpur Adds 179 COVID Cases

Jamshedpur 3rd Jan 2021: Despite all efforts, corona cases now seem to be uncontrollable in Jamshedpur. In the last 24 hours, 179 positive cases have been reported.

The district administration has taken steps on a war footing to control the spread of the virus that threatens to devastate the city.

The district administration, in its latest action, has asked private hospitals to increase bed facilities for coronavirus patients. It has chosen a 3-T formula – ‘Test’, ‘Tracing’ and ‘Treatment’.

With the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district, TMH Jamshedpur is all set to ramp up its testing facilities.

Tata Main Hospital (TMH) has come up with over 1000 oxygenated beds as part of its preparations.

Meanwhile, the Jamshedpur Police has also warned the violators that an FIR will be registered under the Disaster Management Act and other sections of the IPC.

An official said that if anyone is found roaming without a mask, a case will be registered against him/her under sections 269, 270, and 188 of the IPC.

Apart from all these, Rajan Choudhary, Advisor, and former General Manager, Medical Services, Tata Steel, said that looking at the number of positive cases being reported in the city, it can be said that this is the beginning of the third wave.
