Jamshedpur 28th Dec 2021: As the Omicron tally continues to rise, Health Minister Banna Gupta chaired a meeting at the district collectorate’s auditorium on Monday.
During the meeting, Gupta did an in-depth review of the departments of Health, Education, Municipal Corporation, Welfare, Social Welfare, Disaster Management, Electricity, Supply, etc.
He inquired about the medical resources available in the district like ICU, NICU, PICU, PSA plant, isolation beds, and COVID testing and vaccination in the district.
He warned that some countries of the world are witnessing the outbreak of Omicron type of corona infection, but the mortality rate is very low, yet no stone should be left unturned in maintaining health facilities in the district.
Gupta also appealed to the residents of the district to take special care to prevent corona infection during the New Year celebrations.
Besides this, the State Government’s Disaster Management Department is to pay compensation of Rs 1 lakh to the dependents of those who died in road accidents and Rs 50,000 to the dependents of those who died due to corona infection.
On this occasion, 10 children of the ICSE board who got first, second and third positions across the state received Rs. 3 lakh, Rs. 2 lakh, and Rs. 1 lakh respectively.
