Crowd Of Picnickers In Jamshedpur On The Occasion Of Christmas

Jamshedpur 27th Dec 2021: Picnic spots in and around the Steel City remained to buzz with Christmas fun and others as of the last Sunday of the year but under the radar of cops and plainclothes cops.

Like in previous years, the local administration had deployed enough police personnel, including women policemen, but what it has done this year is deputation of magistrates to places that remain an attraction for picnickers.

Public places where police personnel has been deployed along with magistrates include Jubilee Park, Dimna Lake, Hudco Dam in Govindpur, and Narva Dam near Jadugora.

Disclosing about the deputation of magistrates, an official said that parks and dam sites and nearby places get crowded with picnickers around this period of the year.

Picnic sites, including Jubilee Park, are crowded with visitors not only for Christmas but also for the weekend.

According to a rough estimate, 3,000 people visited Jubilee Park yesterday, mostly women and children.

Similarly, Dimna Lake was visited by about 1,500 tourists, mostly picnickers, from Jamshedpur and nearby places.

A large number of picnickers had also been to the Hudco dam and also Narwa dam during the day.

However, the police continued to move in their respective areas to ensure that crimes like molestation and chain-snatching do not take place.
