Jamshedpur 24th Dec 2021: The students of business school XLRI brought laurels to their institution by winning the ‘Global Peter Drucker Challenge’.
The Forum in Vienna invited students, managers, and entrepreneurs from around the world to share insights that will enable the global workforce to tackle the dynamic challenges of today’s VUCA world.
A total of 49 countries participated in this global challenge.
Two students from XLRI were among the three winners in the student category – Dr. Nadeem Ahmed and Prabhat Kuzhikkat.
Both attribute their success to the goodwill of their peers, the guidance of the professors, and the support of the institution.
Dr. Nadeem and Prabhat belong to BM and HRM batch 2021-23 respectively.
Prabhat Kuzhikkat, a marine engineer who is soon to join Amazon as a product manager, wrote in his essay “From ocean hazards to shore crises – what crises can create for managers?” It is based on my varied experience of writing.
This essay is an amalgamation of Drucker’s wisdom and the many crises he faced at sea to give his readers a unique perspective of overcoming any crisis.
This earned him first place and a cash prize of €1500 and the opportunity to personally visit the Drucker Forum.
Healthcare Technology Consultant Dr. Nadeem Ahmed founded a cross-functional pro-bono initiative named ‘Corona Consult’ with an aim to empower startups striving to overcome health barriers.
