Jharkhand Govt Announces Rs. 50,000 Ex-Gratia For Kin Of Persons Who Died Of Covid-19

Jamshedpur 9th Dec 2021:  The state government will give an ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 to kins of those who died of Covid in the first and second waves.

According to the data presented by the State Health and Disaster Management Minister, Banna Gupta, a total of 5133 people had died of Covid across the state.

The state government has decided that an amount of Rs 50,000 will be given to the families of those who died of Covid.

Issuing instructions in this regard, Health and Disaster Management Minister Banna Gupta has said that the Hemant Soren government is sensitive towards the needs of the people and has decided to console those who lost their lives in the Covid epidemic.

Banna Gupta said that Rs 25,66,50,000 has been allocated for the dependents of 5133 dead in 24 districts of the state.

Apart from this, all the Deputy Commissioners of the state have been instructed to ensure distribution among the dependents of the deceased on their responsibility.

In the light of the decision of the District Disaster Management Authority, the amount of compensation will be transferred to the bank account of the dependents.
