Tata Steel Commissions 8 MnTPA Crushing And Washing Plants At KIMM

Jamshedpur 25th Nov 2021: The Ore, Mines, and Mines (OMQ) Division of Tata Steel has set up an 8 MnTPA crushing and washing plant at its Khondabond Iron and Manganese Mine (KIMM) near Joda in Keonjhar district of Odisha.

The facility was inaugurated on Thursday in the presence of TV Narendran, CEO and Managing Director, Tata Steel, DB Sundar Ramam, Vice President, and other senior executives and vendor partners of the company.

It is known that KIMM is a captive mine of Tata Steel, operated by the OMQ Division.

The iron ore processing plant will meet the rapidly growing raw material requirements of Tata Steel and provide raw material security.

In line with the company’s core objective of creating sustainable mining and manufacturing processes, the state-of-the-art facility incorporates the latest technology for ore processing, enabling efficient resource utilization and reduced wastage.
