Jamshedpur 22nd Nov 2021: Angered by the district administration issuing an FIR against 47 people, including BJP leader Abhay Singh, Hindu organizations staged a sit-in protest at Sakchi square on Sunday.
Organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad, the protest was supported by activists of all Hindu organizations as well as officials and members of Hindu Jagran Manch.
The protesters claimed that the allegations against 47 people, including the BJP leader, were false and hence demanded the withdrawal of the FIR with immediate effect.
Manch President Balbir Singh told that the incident took place on October 13 during Durga Puja, while the magistrate had complained about the Sakchi police station on November 2.
It is clear that this is a pre-planned move, and if the district administration does not withdraw the FIR, then Hindu Jagran Manch will launch an all-around agitation.
However, Sunday’s agitation was a sequel to Saturday’s agitation, when protesters burnt effigies of the Jharkhand government and East Singhbhum district administration.
