Outsourced Health Workers Threatened To Strike For Non-Payment Of Salary

Jamshedpur 13th Oct 2021: In Durga Puja, about one thousand outsourced health workers of Kolhan have not received their salary, due to which there is deep anger among them.

The employees have also complained to the Jharkhand State Medical and Public Health Employees Association.

Amarnath Singh, general secretary of the state unit of the association, has spoken to all the outsourced agency management of Kolhan and demanded salary before Durga Puja.

The leader threatened that if the workers do not get their salary before Durga Puja, they will all be forced to go on strike, and all the responsibility will be on the agency.

Amarnath Singh said that more than two thousand outsourced health workers are deployed in Kolhan, but 50% of them have not received their salary. That means, about one thousand employees have not received a salary, which is a matter of concern.

He further said that outsourced employees are working under Siva Enterprises in MGM Hospital, Abhinav Enterprises in MGM Medical College, Sneha Enterprises in Jamshedpur Sadar Hospital, Sneha Enterprises in Seraikela, and Abhinav Enterprises in Chaibasa.

It is noteworthy that nurses of MGM hospital went on strike due to non-payment of salary on Oct 7. And on the very next day, District Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar himself reached the hospital and spoke to the striking employees.

He assured the nurses to send one month’s salary to the account tomorrow and get the incentive amount after Durga Puja.
