Jamshedpur 11th Oct 2021: State Health Minister and Jamshedpur West MLA Banna Gupta distributed clothes among the beneficiaries of the Sona Sobran Dhoti Sari Scheme at Gandhi Maidan in Mango and Ganesh Puja Maidan in Kadma.
The eligible beneficiaries of the Sona Sobran Dhoti-Sari scheme run by the State Food and Supplies Department were given clothes by the Health Minister for just Rs.10 each.
On this occasion, Banna Gupta said that under the ambitious ‘Sona-Sobran Dhoti Sari Scheme’ of the Jharkhand government, dhoti/lungi is given twice a year to the eligible beneficiaries for Rs.10 through public distribution system shops in the state.
He said that even during the pandemic, the Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree distribution program has been started under the development plan.
The government stands with the people in their happiness and sorrow.
This scheme will benefit 58 lakh people below the poverty line in the state.
However, the distribution of sarees will be done in the ratio of 60:40.
Executive Officer Mango Municipal Corporation Deepak Sahay, along with other concerned officers and public representatives, were present on this occasion.
