Jamshedpur 6th Oct 2021: All India Kisan Sabha, under the aegis of the state unit and supported by Left parties, burnt effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath across Jharkhand.
All India Kisan Sabha Jharkhand unit convener Sufal Mahato said that effigies of the Prime Minister and UP CM were burnt in all 24 districts of Jharkhand against the killing of four farmers, allegedly by the son of Union Minister of State for Home, Ajay Mishra Teni.
Meanwhile, CITU, a Left-backed trade union expressing solidarity with the farmers’ movement, also strongly condemned the most gruesome killings of peacefully protesting farmers in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri.
“The son of the Union Minister of State for Home killed the farmers by deliberately driving his vehicle over the farmers. It has also been told by eyewitnesses that he and his accomplices had also opened fire on unarmed farmers. In a shocking incident, Haryana CM has been caught on camera instructing RSS/BJP workers to carry out physical attacks on struggling farmers,” said CITU leader Prakash Viplav.
Farmer leader Sufal Mahato said that the farmers’ movement will continue.
The farmer leader felt that the “Defeat BJP mission” announced by the Kisan Panchayat at the Muzaffarnagar Kisan Rally has already sent a shiver in the spine of UP Chief Minister Yogi and BJP leaders.
“That is why they are showing their desperation and where RSS and its political platform – the BJP is getting restless. Thus they resorted to violence against the farmers in line with their fascist characters,” said Mahato.
Meanwhile, CITU called upon the working class to condemn this brutal killing in large numbers and express our class solidarity with the farmers.
