Jamshedpur Durga Puja: No Ban On Bhog Distribution, Tweeted Banna Gupta

Jamshedpur 5th Oct 2021: During Durga Puja in the city, the politics regarding the distribution of bhog is not taking the name of stopping.

A day after, Durga Puja committees in Jamshedpur decided not to follow the state government’s guidelines regarding Bhog.

Health Minister Banna Gupta, in an attempt to quell the controversy, clarified the earlier guidelines regarding the distribution of bhog issued by the Jharkhand government on 16th September 2021.

The Health Minister tweeted and said, “Point number-16 of the guideline issued by the state government on September 16 clearly states that there is no restriction on home delivery of Prasad. So, we should end this impasse and start preparing for the worship of Goddess Durga, and we all should pray to Maa Gauri to make Jharkhand COVID-19 free.”

Point no. 16 of the guideline mentions that no community feast/prasad or bhog distribution function will be organized. There is no restriction on the home delivery of Prasad.

It is noteworthy that on Sunday, a meeting of Durga Puja committees was held under the banner of Protection Citizens Suvidha Manch under Abhay Singh. About 170 Durga Puja committee representatives attended the meeting.

Abhay Singh has refused to follow the orders of the state government regarding the distribution of bhog during Durga Puja.

During the meeting, Abhay Singh said, ‘We will make bhog, eat it and also distribute bhog among the devotees.
