Japanese encephalitis has been confirmed on Monday in a patient admitted to the medicine ward of RIMS. The patient is being treated in the unit of medicine unit in charge of Dr. Sanjay Singh.
According to the information, the patient was admitted to the hospital four days ago after complaining of high fever, cold, shivering, and difficulty in breathing.
When the fever was not controlled in RIMS in two days, the patient was tested for many viral infections, including malaria, dengue, but no infection was confirmed.
Later, Japanese encephalitis was tested, and it was confirmed in the patient on Monday.
According to Dr. Sanjay, Japanese Encephalitis has been confirmed after a long time.
Viral infection is spreading rapidly for the last one and a half months. He has feared that it could also be Japanese encephalitis.
In such a situation, along with the Covid-19 test, its investigation should also be made 100% necessary.
