Jamshedpur 30th July 2021: The South Eastern Railway (SER) has been canceled, several trains running from Tatanagar with the short origin and short terminated because of the incessant rains in the district since Thursday and waterlogging at various yards.
Those trains that were canceled are 02096 Howrah-CSMT(Mumbai) Special scheduled to leave Howrah at 05:45 hrs on 30.07.2021, 02517 Howrah-Titlagarh Special scheduled to leave Howrah at 6:35hrs on 30.07.2021, 08011 Howrah-Adra-Chakradharpur/ Bokaro Steel City Special scheduled to leave Howrah at 00:05hrs on 30.07.2021, 02245 Howrah-Yesvantpur Special scheduled to leave Howrah at 10:50 hrs on 30.07.2021, 02073 Howrah-Bhubaneswar Special scheduled to leave Howrah at 13.25hrs on 30.07.2021 and 08014/08012 Bokaro Steel City/ Chakradharpur-Howrah Special on 30th July 2021.
Whereas 02260 Howrah-Mumbai (CSMT) Special is scheduled to leave Howrah at 14:05 hrs on 30.07.2021 and will leave Santragachi at 14:45 hrs instead of Howrah.
An official circular issued by the SER said, “Trains are canceled today because of waterlogging on railway tracks following heavy rains.”
An additional counter was opened at Tatanagar Railway Station to facilitate passengers to cancel their tickets and get required refunds.
The movement of three trains from Mumbai, including Howrah bound Mumbai Mail was affected.
Moreover, the Mumbai rains have not only thrown life out of gear there, but the members of the city, the community of Marathi, are also very worried.
Meanwhile, travelers traveling to other places in Maharashtra are facing a tough time.
Due to the cancellation of trains, they are left with no option to travel elsewhere.
Due to this, the crowd in other trains has increased so much that the authorities have issued no-room for the trains.
An official at the Tatanagar railway station said that they have received information about the cancellation, late running, and rescheduling of trains from the Garden Reach headquarters of the South Eastern Railway (SER).
The Railways have been badly affected by the heavy rains in Howrah and Mumbai for the last few days.
Due to this, the movement of trains on the Mumbai-Howrah route has been disrupted.
