Jamshedpur 7th June 2021: CV Shastry, aged 56, managing director of the Jamshedpur Continuous Annealing & Processing Company Pvt Ltd (JCAPCPL), Jamshedpur, died of a heart attack on Sunday morning.
He was tested positive for Covid-19 a month ago but had healed from it.
However, he got a massive cardiac arrest and died this morning.
JCAPCPL is a joint venture of Tata Steel and Nippon Steel Sumitomo Metal Corporation. He was at the steerage of the company ever since its establishment.
Shortly after his death, representatives of the Tata Workers’ Union and other senior officials proceeded to his residence to express grief over the unexpected demise. He left behind his father, mother, wife, and child.
The company is presently located in Jamshedpur.
The line produces automotive cold-rolled flat products and addresses the local needs of Indian automotive customers for high-grade automotive cold-rolled flat products in India.
