Jamshedpur 24th April 2021: Corona is wreaking havoc in the East Singhbhum district and is setting new records every day.
The city recorded 810 new cases of the novel coronavirus, along with 15 deaths on Friday.
Never before in the district, so many new patients and corona patients died in 24 hours.
The district administration and health department have become worried after this data came in the late evening.
Of the 810 new cases, 735 are from Jamshedpur urban area, 40 are from Musabani, 17 from Dumaria, 7 from Potka, 3 each from Patamda and Ghatsila, 2 each from Baharagora and Chakulia, and 1 from Dhalbhumgarh.
The new cases came out of the 4891 tests conducted on Friday.
According to the latest health bulletin, the cumulative coronavirus case count stands at 27987, and the death count is now 507.
However, there are 5982 active COVID-19 cases in Jamshedpur.
The positivity rate rose to 3.86%, and the recovery rate has dropped down to 79.10 %, while the mortality rate is 1.81%.
