Jamshedpur Police Hit Streets To Impose COVID-19 Restrictions

Jamshedpur 16th April 2021: The district administration has commanded restrictions in several areas because of increasing COVID-19 positive cases in the city. 

A team from district police, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee ( JNAC), led a drive to stimulate people to wear face masks and ensure personal distancing while trying out to carry out their necessary works in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The team has started a special campaign for mask checking and wearing masks at Sakchi and Bistupur markets.

In the meantime, they roamed the streets to motivate people to wear masks.

Ravi Bharti, city manager, JNAC, informed that inspected some outlets selling fruits and fruit juices and asked the shopkeepers to ensure protective measures at their respective outlets.

“For those who fail to wear a mask, action will be taken under the Disaster Management Act for non-compliance with the rules of Covid-19,”  said the senior official. 

Traffic police have been advised auto drivers to allow only those passengers who wore a mask and ensure personal distancing inside the vehicles.

Moreover, it has ordered a shutdown in different areas due to the pandemic.

Given the sudden rise in corona cases, the civic bodies have intensified active surveillance in different areas.
