Jamshedpur 4th April 2021: The license of Adityapur-based Meditrina Superspeciality Hospital was suspended by the Searikela Kharsawan civil surgeon H. S. Barwar after a probe. A fine of five lakh rupees has also been imposed.
In the notice issued to the hospital on behalf of Civil Surgeon Dr. Himanshu Bhushan, it has been said-In the investigation of the complaint received in the past, the hospital has found a violation of the Clinical Establishment Act.
Therefore, there is a ban on the recruitment of new patients to the hospital with immediate effect.
The civil surgeon said that there has been a complaint against the hospital for not properly treating patients having Ayushman Bharat cards and even charging extra money from such patients.
The surgeon has asked the hospital management to submit its reply within five days, and if their clarification is not satisfactory then, their license would be canceled permanently.
