Report Of Train Accident Triggers Fright At Tatanagar Rail Station

Jamshedpur 21st Feb 2020: A massive mock drill was conducted at Tatanagar station on Saturday morning. 

At 10.25 am on Saturday, a sudden hooter sounded, and chaos ensued. On inquiry, it was learned that a train had met with an accident some distance from the rail station.

 It was reported from Railway Control that train number 08852 Howrah-CSMT Kovid special train has crashed between Tata-Asasabani at Salgazhudi. Many people were injured. Civil and NDRF teams were attending to the injured and were extricating those stuck in the compartments.

According to railway officials, for the first time in 25 years, a train accident in Tatanagar ran for 4.25 hours. During this time, the Rescue Team showed unmatched teamwork at Golden Hour. 

In addition to the railway officers, NDRF, District Police, and administrative officers also joined DC-ADM.

As soon as the information was received, the employees of many railway departments got involved in quick action. 

DRM VK Sahu and his team reached the site of the mock drill and inspected the steps adopted during the relief operational mock drill. 

At the same time, efforts were on to resume normal train services along the drill area.
