No Mention Of Defense in Budget 2021 Despite China Threat: Dr. Ajoy Kumar

Jamshedpur 2nd Feb, 2021: Former Jamshedpur MP and Congress National Spokesperson Dr. Ajoy Kumar on Monday pushed the Union Budget and said there was no mention of defense in the budget speech indeed as Indian and Chinese troops confrontation on the northern borders, particularly in eastern Ladakh.

The overall defense expenditure for 2021-2022 has been raised by a paltry sum to Rs 4,78,196 crore from last year’s budgetary allocation of Rs 4,71,378 crore, which amounts to a mere 1.4 % hike.

According to the national spokesperson, the budget appeared as a tremendous setback for the common man hit by reflation, loss of work, and unemployment.

Dr. Ajoy lashed out at the Centre and told that government thinks the country is for sale.

“There is a decrease in the budget allocated for health, while very little expenditure is done on health as the budget expense of Rs 2,23,846 crore for 2021-22 comprises expanded allocation of Rs 35,000 crore for Covid vaccines”, he supplemented.
