Chutni Devi Honored With Padma Shri For Crusade Against Social Evils

Jamshedpur Jan 25, 2020: The Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday announced the list of awardees for the Padma Awards, one of the most leading civilian awards in the country.

Chutni Devi, who was once branded a witch and later launched a fight against evil has been awarded the country’s fourth-highest civilian award Padma Shri for her exceptional contribution to society.

She is a resident of Birbasha village in Saraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand, and was condemned as a schismatic. 

Not only this, she emerged out of the dungeon of castigation but pulled out 55 other labeled black magic practitioners and sorcerers to return to normal ways of life and living. 

The lady, an example of self-belief, is leading by example and maintaining the crusade against the operation of women. She is none other than Chutni Devi whose motivational services have been identified by the government of India and has been honored with the prestigious Padma Shri Award this year.

Currently, she has been associated with the Flash organization and through the family counseling center, she has been shaping society cognizant against the evil of witchcraft.
