Jamshedpur: COVID-19 imposed a break on the development work of the railway

Jamshedpur 20th July, 2020: Due to COVID-19, the development work of the railway has been put to a break. Working on the 95 meters long and six-meter wide foot overbridge to be built at Tatanagar station at cost of five crores has also been slowed while the drawing of this foot overbridge was also passed.

In the Corona era, workers are not willing to leave the house due to which the Railways have started facing problems of labourers .

At the same time, the work of foot overbridge connecting platform number five to the second entry gate is also pending.

It is believed that passenger trains have been closed for about four months. In such a situation, the source of income of the railways has stopped and railways have suffered crores of rupees in these four months.

Now the Railways need funds to implement development works and is also facing fund shortage in  Tatanagar railways stations and others.

Although the proposed foot overbridge from platform number five of Tatanagar station to Chaibasa bus stand has started, the speed is quite slow. If it keeps pace like this, then it may take more than three years to complete.
