Jamshedpur 5, August,2016: Jamshedpur and other parts of Jharkhand have already been observing decent rains ever since the onset of Monsoon over the state. In last 24 hours, Jamshedpur has received extremely heavy rainfall of 22.2 mm owing to a cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand. This rainfall can be termed as the third highest 24-hour rainfall observed this years.  eavy rains have been forecasted at several places in Jamshedpur in the next couple of days. The regional meteorological department bulletin along with Agricultural research centre on Friday warned of incessant heavy rains for the next five days. The city recorded 30 mm of rain on Thursday. The maximum temperature was recorded at 33.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled at 25.7 degrees Celsius in the city on Thursday. According to the meteorological department 193 mm of rainfall is expected to be received in the next five days. If the forecast proves to be correct, then it will increase the risk of flooding in several areas of the city. Officials have been asked to be extra vigilant.
