DIG convenes crime review meeting, instructs officers to curb loot and firing incidents

Jamshedpur, 20th October-2016 : Deputy inspector general (DIG), Kolhan, on Wednesday held a meeting of senior police officers to review city’s law and order situation. The DIG, Sambhu Thakur scanned criminal cases police stationwise, arrest of anti-social elements and also reviewed the naxal activities in Ghatshila sub division. During the two-hour-long meeting, Thakur took stock of the recent incidents of firing, loot and snatching in different locations of the steel city and also sought to know the police action against the criminals responsible for the crime. The DIG, Kolhan said the law and order situation in the steel city is absolutely under control and if any shortcomings will be detected they will be taken care of by the senior superintendent of police Anoop T Mathew.“A number of firing incidents has taken place at few localities in the city in the recent past, but the police have also been succeeded to nab those involved in such incidents.
